DAY AT SCHOOL

All the students are expected to reach the School by 9.15am and be in school till 3.45 pm.

MORNING STUDY

On reaching the school the students should proceed to their respective class rooms in silence and utilize the time for study till the bell goes for prayer/assembly. No student is expected to be seen on the verandah.

COMMUNICATION

1. English is the medium of communication and so it is mandatory that all the students speak English in the school campus.
2. Always use polite words when you communicate with others.
3. Insulting and abusive expressions are strictly forbidden in the school campus.

DURING INTERVAL

1. During intervals students are advised not to play inside the classrooms or to run across the corridors. Leisure or break time is not meant for play.
2. Don’t drag your feet while walking on the verandah.
3. Students are not expected to enter the staff room unnecessarily or stand in group in front of it. In case of necessity, only one student is expected to enter.
4. Bringing sweets or cakes and celebrating birthdays of students or teachers or on any occasion in the school is strictly forbidden.

DISCIPLINE DURING PHYSICAL EDUCATION

1. No student is exempted from PE class. If any exemption is required, a written request from the parents should be produced in advance and get the sanction from the Principal.
2. Students are expected to go to the playground in line.

DISCIPLINE IN THE CLASSROOM

1. Arrange the class room neatly before the class starts.
2. Do not litter papers and sweet wrappers anywhere.
3. Black board, chalk, table and chair are meant only for the use of teachers.
4. Benches and desks provided for your use should be kept neat.
5. Don’t sit on the desk.
6. Scribbling and drawing on the desks and walls will be seriously dealt with.
7. Bring only the study materials to the class room.
8. CD, pen drive, memory card, iPod and such other gadgets are strictly forbidden in the class room and school campus.
9. All the students should stand up and wish the teachers when they enter the class and should thank them when they leave.
10. Students are not expected to stand around the teacher’s table to clear the doubts or for any other purpose.
11. Going to the toilet frequently during the class time is not permitted.
12. After the breaks, the students should reach the class as soon as the bell rings.
13. In the absence of a teacher, the monitors may stand near the table and maintain discipline till the substitute teacher comes.
14. Munching or chewing and drinking water during the class hours is not allowed.
15. Throwing things like pencil, eraser, ruler, books etc. to others should be avoided.
16. Strict discipline should be observed in the classroom.

DISCIPLINE AT LUNCH BREAK

1. Lunch may be eaten in the classroom itself.
2. Observe table manners while eating. A small towel should be brought to spread on the table to be used as a napkin.
3. Be in queue at the washing place. Remember to close the tap after use.
4. Do not bring food in plastic containers.

DISCIPLINE REGARDING UNIFORM

1. Students should come to school in full uniform as instructed.
2. Boys should wear vests under the shirt.
3. Boys are not expected to wear low waist trousers in the school.
4. All boys must keep their hair short.
5. Use of hair gel and hair colour is not allowed.
6. Girls should wear tights under their skirt.
7. All girls must use white hair bands or ribbons to tie their hair neatly. Mehendi, kajal, bindi, perfumes, bangles, rings are not allowed.
8. Nails should be neatly trimmed and nail-polish should not be used.
9. Ornaments and jewellery of any kind are not allowed in the school.
10. Every student should wear a clean, complete and correct uniform daily. A pupil who comes to school without proper uniform or whose uniform is untidy and / or ill-fitting will not be allowed to attend the classes
11. Students are allowed to wear color dress only on special occasions like birthday. The dress should be simple and modest (below knee).
12. On special occasions sleeveless top and tight bottom are not allowed for the girls. Party wear is not expected in the school.
13. Socks and inner wears should be changed daily.
14. Any student who requires exemption from wearing uniform for a specific period should get written permission from the Principal.

DISCIPLINE AT DISPERSAL

Switch off the fan and the light before leaving the classroom

1. When the school disperses the students should leave the classroom in line.
2. Students are not expected to group in the porch and remain talking.

DISCIPLINE IN THE SCHOOL BUS AND ON THE ROAD

1. Students are not expected to eat toffees in the school bus and throw the wrappers out.
2. Behave properly in the bus and use decorous language when you talk to each other.
3. Follow strictly ‘the rule of the road’. Neither should you cluster nor should you walk putting your hands on others’ shoulders.
4. Strictly follow the traffic rules.

FOR THE SPECIAL ATTENTION OF THE PARENTS

1. If you want to take the child early on a working day you have to put in a request letter in the hand book (in the space for Early Leaving)
2. School Diary and SMS from the School should be checked daily and action taken as per the instructions.

GENERAL RULES OF DISCIPLINE

1. Show respect to your Principal, teachers, non teaching staff and elders by greeting them.
2. Respect each other and always lend a helping hand.
3. Stand still during prayer and National Anthem, where ever you are.
4. Be eco-friendly; and keep your school compound green.
5. Students in school uniform are not expected to loiter in the shops and hold birthday party or any treat for friends in the Restaurants.
6. Be in line and in perfect silence while moving out to the lab, auditorium, chapel and playground.
7. Behave honestly in the examination halls. Malpractices of any sort will be seriously dealt with.
8. Don’t dash and hit against others including teachers.
9. Learn to use polite expressions like ‘sorry’, ‘thank you’, ‘welcome’ etc. as and when they are required to be used.
10. Students are not expected to use notice board as mirror to comb the hair.
11. The school diary is a record concerning the student. Therefore every student should take special care of the diary and bring it to class daily.
12. No buying/selling of stamps, stickers, comic books, ets. is allowed in the school. Such items as supari, chewing gum, etc. are strictly forbidden in the school.
13. Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. Each article should be marked with the pupil's name.
14. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments such as knives etc. or any kind of object that can cause injury to self/others.

CERTIFICATE

For any official certificate from the office you have to apply for it at least one day in advance.

MOBILE PHONE

Use of mobile phone in the school campus is strictly forbidden. If anybody found with the mobile phone in the campus it will be confiscated and will be returned only when the candidate takes transfer certificate from the school.
